Publieke Werken
When the pandemic hit the Netherlands in 2020, it hurt the festival-business quite a bit. In Rotterdam, the affiches with promotional advertising for festivals (Draaimolen, Woo-Hah! or Lowlands for example) around the streets were suddenly empty. Sibe Kokke, Joost Maaskant, Rineke Kraaij and Caro van der Pluijm started 'Publieke Werken' - an initiative to fill up 400 empty advertising spaces with artwork from local designers. A great initiative and I'm proud to say that I participated!
I also had the pleasure of being a part of the 2021 edition.
